Veer Pahariya opens up on working with ex-girlfriend Sara Ali Khan in Sky Force; says, “I’m grateful for her support”

Veer Pahariya is making his acting debut in the action thriller Sky Force with Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. It has been directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur. The recently released trailer features Sara, who has a rumoured history with Veer.

During the trailer launch event in Mumbai, Veer Pahariya was asked about the comfort of working with Sara Ali Khan, considering their past friendship. Before he could answer, producer Dinesh Vijan humorously interjected. He asked, “You mean friendship or Stree’s friendship?” This was a playful reference to a line from Stree, in which Rajkummar Rao’s character alludes to his romantic interest.

Veer responded appreciatively, stating, “She (Sara) was very sweet and incredibly helpful. With her extensive experience in the industry, she provided a lot of support, and I’m very grateful. Thank you, Sara.” It’s worth noting that Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya were linked romantically before she made her acting debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s 2018 film Kedarnath. On an episode of Koffee with Karan season 7, host Karan Johar revealed that Sara was dating Veer at the same time Janhvi Kapoor was involved with his brother Shikhar Pahariya. After a brief separation, Janhvi has rekindled her relationship with Shikhar.

Sky Force is described as an untold true story. The film highlights the courage, emotions, and patriotism of the men in uniform. The recently released trailer showcases both Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya in the roles of Indian Air Force officers. The film is co-produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios. It is all set to hit theatres on January 24, just ahead of Republic Day. Among others, Nirmat Kaur and Sharad Kelkar will also be seen playing prominent roles in the movie. Sky Force is set to release globally on January 24, 2025, during the Republic Day weekend.
